Michigan Lockdown Security Hosts Successful Charity Golf Event to Benefit Veterans at Victory Gym

On July 13, 2024, Michigan Lockdown Security proudly hosted the "Swinging for Our Soldiers" charity golf event at the picturesque Lakes of Taylor Golf Club in Taylor, Michigan. This event, which brought together community members, local businesses, and golf enthusiasts, was held to benefit Victory Gym, a gym dedicated to supporting veterans through fitness, camaraderie, and a strong sense of community.

A Day of Golfing for a Great Cause

144 golfers, 18 holes of golf, and 1 day we’ll remember for a long time. The event kicked off with perfect weather, and participants arrived early for the 7:00 am registration, eager to hit the greens and contribute to a cause close to many hearts. The course, known for its beautiful landscape and challenging holes, provided a perfect backdrop for the day’s events.

Participants competed not only for bragging rights but also for a variety of prizes awarded to the winning teams and contest winners.

Community Support and Participation

The community’s involvement was evident throughout the day, with many local businesses and residents stepping up to sponsor and participate. The event also featured a raffle, with tickets available for various prizes, adding an extra layer of excitement for everyone involved.

Michigan Lockdown Security's commitment to supporting veterans was the driving force behind the event, and all proceeds went directly to Victory Gym. The funds raised will help the gym continue its mission of providing a supportive environment where veterans can focus on their health and well-being.

A Successful Day on the Greens

The hard work behind the scenes from all our volunteers, the support from our generous sponsors, the efforts of Al Grant from Lakes, and the participation of every single golfer who spent their Saturday with us made this inaugural event a tremendous success. By the end of the day, the "Swinging for Our Soldiers" event was not only a success in terms of the funds raised but also in the connections forged among participants.

Lakes of Taylor Golf Club proved to be an excellent venue for the event, with its well-maintained course and welcoming staff contributing to the overall positive experience. The scenic views and challenging play made for an enjoyable day of golf, all in the name of a great cause.
